Information You Submit
Search Entries
When a visitor enters a name or date of birth into a search box, the entry is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request under its own practices. The website does not store or log the search terms on its end.
Messages
An email sent to the site operator is kept so the message can be answered. It remains within the operator's team unless a legal requirement calls for disclosure.
Technical Visit Data
Servers can receive technical details when a page loads, such as:
- Device IP address
- Browser and version
- Operating system and device type
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring site, if available
- Visit timestamps
Cookies and Site Analytics
Cookies are small files stored on a device. They help measure which pages visitors use and where a visit ends. Analytics tools aggregate traffic information. Browser settings can block cookies, although some site features may then work differently.
How Information Is Used
- To keep pages available and responsive
- To send a search request to the provider that runs the search box
- To understand which material visitors use
- To find and repair site problems
- To display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Warrant Database Is Kept
Hardeman County Warrant Records does not host, sell, or maintain a database of warrants or personal warrant files. It provides public directions to the offices that may hold them, including the Hardeman County Sheriff's Office and the Circuit Court Clerk. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports. This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Outside Search Providers
Search tools on the site are operated by third parties. Information entered into a box is handled under that provider's privacy policy, including its rules for retention and sharing. The site operator does not control those practices. Read the provider's notice before sending personal information.
Links to Other Sites
Links lead to sheriff, court, state, legal-resource, and search-provider pages. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy terms apply. Read those terms before sharing personal details.
Advertising providers may use their own tools to recognize activity across sites. That tracking is managed by the provider, not by this website.
Who May Receive Data
Personal data is not sold. Some information may be shared with:
- Search companies that process a visitor's query
- Analytics services used to measure traffic
- Advertising networks serving site ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
Data Safeguards
Reasonable security steps are used to protect data received by the site. Internet systems cannot be guaranteed to be fully secure, and no promise can be made that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor's information is believed to have been submitted, the operator may be contacted so it can be reviewed and removed.
Data Access and Tennessee Law
Visitors may ask what information the private site operator holds about them, request a correction, or ask for deletion. Tennessee's Public Records Act, Tenn. Code Ann. ยงยง 10-7-501 et seq., concerns access to public records held by government offices. It does not govern private website analytics or create a public warrant search. For government records, see the Comptroller's TPRA guidance.
- Ask for a copy of data held by the site operator
- Request correction of inaccurate operator-held information
- Ask that eligible data be erased
- Opt out of certain processing where available
Policy Updates
Privacy practices may change. A revised version will be posted here with its effective date, and continued use after the change means the new text applies to later visits.
